Are contents in my car covered if my car is stolen or they're damaged in an accident?
If you have a Comprehensive or Comprehensive Plus policy and there's been loss or damage to your car (as a result of an incident we cover), you're covered for:
- Personal items (up to $1,000)
- Baby capsules and child seats
- Tools of trade (up to $1,500, provided you can show us you've been using your tools to earn income).
If you have a Comprehensive Basics policy, you're covered for baby capsules and child seats, but no other personal items. For more information about what's covered, what's not and terms and conditions, read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) on our policy booklets page.
Important note for customers in NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and the ACT:
If your policy was
- First purchased before 21 April 2024 and not yet renewed
- Last renewed before 1 July 2024
your cover will be different. Call us on 132 132.
