NRMA Insurance Community Cricket Grants
We’ve got 12 grants of $5,000 each to give away to Community Cricket Clubs. Please complete the entry form below!
How to enter:
All fields are mandatory. Please ensure you’ve read the full terms and conditions beneath the entry form.
- Provide your contact details so we can let you know if your club is selected for a grant.
- Add your Club ABN, incorporation number and GST registration status (your club treasurer can provide these).
- In 300 words or less, tell us how your community cricket club would spend $5,000 on community activities (including a community event).
- Accept the terms and submit your club's entry (one entry per club).
Note: Successful grant applicants must use the grant for the activities specified on this entry form. The specified activities must be completed by 31 March 2026.

Eligible entrants:
Entry is only open to Australian-based cricket clubs and associations that are correctly affiliated within Australian Cricket.
For the sake of clarity, a ‘correctly affiliated’ club means any organisation that has a constitution under state legislation, is incorporated, and is a member of an association or peak body for cricket in their State or Territory.
Only a representative of the Cricket Club (aged 18 years or over) may enter on behalf of the Cricket Club.
How to Enter:
To enter the Promotion, the entrant must, during the Promotional Period, visit nrma.com.au/cricket, follow the prompts to the Promotion entry page; and fully complete and submit the online entry form with the required details (includes their Cricket Club incorporation number, ABN and whether or not their Cricket Club is registered for GST) and provide an answer to the following question: In 300 words or less, tell us how your community cricket club would spend $5,000 on community activities (including a community event).

Prize Conditions:
- The prize will be deposited into the bank account of the winning Cricket Club (details of which must be provided to the Promoter prior to receiving the grant). Grants must be used for the intended purposes (as specified in the winning entry response).
- Grant money will be paid by 30 April 2025 and must be spent by 31 March 2026.
- Winners will be required to provide the Promoter with photos showing the activities on which the grant money was spent. Winners grant to the Promoter and Cricket Australia the right to take photographs and/or recordings of a winning club’s activities/equipment on which grant money has been spent for the purposes of promoting and marketing their respective brands for an unlimited period without remuneration, including but not limited to use on social media channels, websites and printed marketing collateral.
- The winning clubs are responsible for arranging all activities to be carried out (including but not limited to any permits and council or local government permissions required to undertake any activities).
- Winning clubs must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and associated requirements.
- The grant money awarded is the total amount payable by the Promoter to a winning club. Any costs not covered by the grant money awarded by the Promoter will be the responsibility of the winning clubs. If there is grant money remaining once the activities have been completed and equipment has been purchased, the winning club must notify the Promoter and the Promoter and the winning club will collectively determine how any remaining funds are allocated (with any final decision on the allocation of remaining funds at the Promoter’s absolute discretion).
- In the event a winning club wishes to change the use of the funds from their initial application, they must seek permission in writing from Ben DeAraugo of Cricket Australia (via Ben.DeAraugo@cricket.com.au).
Winner notification:
The winners will be contacted by email and phone within seven (7) business days of the judging.
Unclaimed Prizes:
In the event that a prize remains unclaimed within a month of a winner being contacted, the Promoter may, in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, assign the prize to the entry judged the next best entry, conduct a further judging to award the prize, or withdraw the prize unawarded. The Promoter is under no obligation to award any unclaimed prize.
These Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) outline the agreement between the Promoter and entrants, and include terms that limit the Promoter’s liability for certain types of loss or damage and permit the Promoter to disclose your personal information to third parties (in accordance with the NRMA Insurance Privacy Policy). You will need to accept these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) on behalf of yourself and your Cricket Club to continue to participate in the Promotion.
- The entrant agrees and acknowledges that they have read these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) and that entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule). Any capitalised terms used in these Conditions of Entry have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless stated otherwise.
- The Promotion commences on the Start date and ends on the End date ("Promotional Period"). Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission or deposit by the entrant. The Promoter has no control over telecommunications networks and accepts no responsibility for problems associated with them. The Promoter is not responsible for any delay in, or failure of, transmission in circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control which causes an entry not to be received during the Promotional Period. Records of the Promoter and its agencies are final and conclusive as to the time of receipt.
- Valid and eligible entries will be accepted during the Promotional Period.
- Employees (and their immediate family members) of agencies/companies directly associated with the conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter, Cricket Australia, businesses involved in determination of winner/s for the Promotion, businesses involved in the management of the Promotion, any organisation benefiting from the Promotion, the Promoter’s distributors, suppliers, subsidiary companies/businesses and associated companies and agencies are not eligible to enter. "Immediate family member" means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
- Judging:
- The winners will be determined by representatives of the Promoter. Each entry will be judged on the response included in the entry (which may include but not be limited to how the proposed funds would be used, the role the Cricket Club plays in the wider community and the feasibility of funds to cover the proposal).
- Subject to point (ii) below, the best twelve (12) valid entries, as determined by the judges, will each win the prize specified in the Schedule above.
- To the extent possible (taking into account the geographic distribution of the valid entries received), at least one winner will be selected in each of Australia’s eight states/territories.
- The judges may select additional reserve entries which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.
- The winners will be determined by skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. The judges' decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The winners will be determined by representatives of the Promoter. Each entry will be judged on the response included in the entry (which may include but not be limited to how the proposed funds would be used, the role the Cricket Club plays in the wider community and the feasibility of funds to cover the proposal).
- All reasonable attempts will be made to contact each winner.
- If any winner chooses not to take their prize (or is unable to), or does not take or claim a prize within the reasonable time specified in the Schedule above by the Promoter, they forfeit the prize and the Promoter is not obliged to substitute the prize.
- No part of a prize is exchangeable, redeemable for cash or any other prize or transferable, unless otherwise specified in writing by the Promoter.
- No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Promotion. Where entry is allowed online, there is no additional cost to enter the Promotion other than any cost paid by the entrant to access the website or social media platform of entry via their Internet service provider.
- Each prize will be awarded to the Cricket Club named in the winning entry.
- Entrants' personal information will be collected by the Promoter. Personal information will be stored on the Promoter's database. The Promoter may use this information for future marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant electronically. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its privacy policy which is located at www.nrma.com.au/privacy-security. The Promoter's privacy policy contains information about how the entrant may access, update and seek correction of the personal information the Promoter holds about them and how the entrant may complain about any potential breach by the Promoter of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other Australian privacy laws and how such complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to enable them to participate in this Promotion and may disclose the entrants' personal information to third parties including its contractors and agents, prize suppliers and service providers to assist in conducting this Promotion. If the entrant does not provide their personal information as requested, they may be ineligible to enter or claim a prize in the Promotion.
- The Promoter (subject to State and Territory legislation) reserves the right to amend, extend, cancel or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, in circumstances where an event beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or product conduct of the Promotion.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrants’ details (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter (acting reasonably) to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Incomplete, indecipherable, inaudible, incorrect and illegible entries, as applicable, will at the Promoter's discretion (acting reasonably) be deemed invalid and not eligible to win. Entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win.
- All material submitted on entry (e.g. comment(s), and answer(s) to a promotional question) must NOT: (a) be in breach of any laws, regulations and rights, e.g., any laws regarding intellectual property (copyright, trademarks, etc.), defamation and privacy; (b) be defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, contain nudity, aggressive, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable or discriminate/vilify any section of the community with respect to race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, origin, sexual preference, mental illness, disability or gender or unsuitable for publication; or (c) contain viruses. Entrants warrant and represent that they own or have the right to license the copyright in any entry submitted by them into this Promotion, for the purposes of this Promotion, that no rights have been granted to any third party in respect of any such entry which would prevent the entry being used as contemplated by this Promotion, and that the use by the Promoter of any such entry will not breach any laws or infringe the rights of any person (including without limitation with respect to privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, moral rights and defamation). Entrants must obtain prior consent from any person or from the owner(s) of any property that appears in their entry. By entering, all entrants license and grant the Promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees an exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry (including any portion of their entry) in connection with the Promotion, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes in connection with the Promotion, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Entrants consent to any use of their entry that may otherwise infringe their moral rights. The Promoter will not be liable for any entries, to the extent permitted by law. The Promoter reserves the right to remove, request removal or decline to publish any entry or portion of an entry for any reason whatsoever if the entry breaches these Conditions of Entry. The Promoter will have no liability to entrants if it exercises this right and entrants must comply with any request made by the Promoter pursuant to this paragraph.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with these Conditions of Entry. In the event that there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will (acting reasonably) attempt to resolve the dispute in direct consultation with the entrant. If the dispute cannot be resolved, the Promoter’s decision will be final.
- EXCEPT FOR ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW (IN WHICH CASE THAT LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM ALLOWABLE BY LAW), AND SUBJECT TO CLAUSES 17 AND 20, THE PROMOTER’S, AND CRICKET AUSTRALIA’S, LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO $5,000.
- TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PROMOTER AND CRICKET AUSTRALIA (INCLUDING THEIR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS) EXCLUDE ALL LIABILITY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE.
- Nothing in these Conditions of Entry or the Schedule restricts, excludes, modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law, including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth).
- The winners agree and consent to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable marketing and editorial activities relating to the Promotion, including (but not limited to) being recorded, photographed, filmed or interviewed. The winners acknowledge and agree that the Promoter and Cricket Australia may use any such marketing and editorial material without further reference or compensation to them.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications anfd the entrant must seek their own independent financial advice in regards to the tax implications relating to the prize or acceptance of the prize.
- Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
